IWD Custom Iron Door Installation Guide

IWD iron doors are supplied as pre-hung door systems, including the frame, threshold, hinges, and hardware, making the installation process easier. Follow the steps below and the installation video for guidance. We hope this beautiful and sturdy door will bring lasting style and character to your perfect home.🏡

1. Position & Level the Frame

📍 Place the frame into the rough opening.
📏 Check that the frame is level and plumb. Use wood shims if needed.

2. Secure the Frame

🔧 Install a few screws to temporarily secure the frame.

3. Hang the Door & Install Hardware

💪 Hang the door panels onto the frame.
🔐 Install the handleset

4. Test & Adjust

🧐 Check the door gaps and alignment.
🔄 Open and close the doors several times to ensure smooth operation.

5. Finalize

👍 Once everything works properly, tighten all remaining screws.
⚠️ Important: Do not fully tighten the screws until the door has been properly aligned and tested.
